Kitchen Hardware Help
I am in the process of finalizing hardware for my new kitchen cabinets. I have done a lot of research but I have a few questions and am looking for some advice...
1. I want to do pulls on my wall cabinets. I think the size of a pull looks better on the 42" cabinet. However, I was considering doing knobs on the bottom cabinets. Has anyone ever seen this done?
2. I will be using pulls on the drawers. I plan to use one pull on the 24" drawer. I am deciding between two pulls or one larger pull on the larger 30+" drawers. The small pulls are 5 3/8" long and the larger pulls are 7 7/8" long. I included a picture of the pull and knob I have picked out.
Here are the new cabinets... They are Kraftmaid Canvas with cocoa glaze.
This is a drawer and cabinet on the existing island. I found new hardware to fit the holes that were already there from the old/existing hardware.

7 years agolast modified: 7 years agoI did pulls on the drawers and knobs on the smaller cabinet doors and put the pulls on the larger pantry doors. My feeling was the little knobs would just be too small on the bigger door. And they all are two tone, ORB with stainless....the door looks all ORB in picture.

7 years agolast modified: 7 years agoI did simple bronze pulls through out in my kitchen. it sits nice and simple on the relatively heavier doors. I think it would look nice on yours as well. I feel like the knobs would be too simple against the cabinets though.

7 years agoI only use pulls on drawers and large cabinets. To me, using pulls on everything is too much - it makes the room appear cluttered or busy or something. So yes, I use knobs on lower cabinets (see attached). And I totally agree that you only want one pull on large drawers. Otherwise if you are holding something in one had and need something in the drawer, you can’t open the drawer with your other hand because you won’t be pulling it straight out.
