Are window coverings even nessessary?

Stretch some blue painter tape straight up from the edge of the glass , then horizontally as far above the curved trim as possible. Would curtains cover the windows if hung from a rod at that height? If so, add a tieback in each corner for when you want them open. It's okay to put a small bit of velcro to make sure the curtains cover the glass without light leakage.

Another option is a piece of foamcore cut to cover each window by wedging it into the frame. Add a couple tabs to make it easy to remove every morning.

Last, you can use an old fashioned solution which is a fold down flat fabric panel mounted on the bottom of the apron. Use a short curtain rod or wood dowel on both top and bottom of the flat panel. At the top and bottom, use a couple of cup hooks to hold the rod in place.

What was you solution at the end? I have similar windows...also not sure how to solve.
