I think they are magnificent. The lead horse is impossibly regal as he stands there looking at them once they are in the new pasture. Just wonderful.

Chispa, would you take me with you? Some of my happiest childhood memories were in the summers when my parents would send me and my brother to a Pinto ranch for two weeks. We each had our own horse to care for and I still remember many things I learned.

I grew up riding horses (my grandfather raised quarter horses), and I had my own horse when I was about nine or ten. However, the last time I rode a horse (in Costa Rica), it reared up and threw me off. It got spooked by a vulture or some such large dark bird. I'm leery now of getting on another horse. My grandfather had to stop riding horses when he reached a certain age, and while I am not there yet, I think it might not be the best idea for me. Fortunately when I got thrown, I landed in soft muddy grass, and so I was not severely hurt.

What beautiful animals. I pined for a horse when I was a kid, but no such luck.
