I have a staircase in my kitchen leading down to a playroom in the basement. My kitchen cabinets will be white acrylic and brittanicca countertop. The staircase is oak. I was told that ebony is very popular since there is a lot of foot traffic on such a staircase. I don't think though that ebony would go with the kitchen color scheme and also I think it takes away from the beauty of the oak. Any suggestions what color the staircase should be stained?
