Does Viking last and are repairs easy?

No and no. Avoid.

I wouldn't even buy Viking new. The brand is not one of reliability and longevity.

If you post here and include a list of features that are important to you, you are likely going to get a lot of good recommendations. Let us know about price range, size, heating technology (e.g. gas vs. induction), ease of cleaning, low temperature control, max power output, integrated oven vs. wall oven, infrared broiler element, steam injection or full moisture control, ease of maintenance, available space, number of burners, number of ovens, ...

All of the above are things that might be important to some users but are not necessarily important to everybody. There are a handful of default answers that you'll hear over and over again, because they simply are excellent appliances. But depending on your specific requirements, there might be other suggestions.

Viking is in the process of revamping their entire line. Only time will tell if they have made improvements. I would not purchased "new or used" Viking products..(too risky).

Check out Thermador. They are in the process of introducing new models so you may be able to find some good deals on "old new stock"

I have a Viking 30”all gas range. Love it. There’s nothing much to repair as no electronic parts. Had some igniter issues early on but none in at least 10 years. Got it around 1998...still going strong and I cook from scratch all the time. Rarely eat out.
