Up here it is still raining a good bit. I've been opening my outdoor tent on good days,and I have moved some aloes too.

We still can get really cold nights, so I don't move mine out until the end of May. Citrus will probably go out earlier, but not yet :-)

Zounds!! That's a lot of pots :-) And they all look so healthy after spending a winter indoors!! I have yet to move any of my tender succs or cacti outside.....our springs tend to be too cool and too wet for them to be happy so I generally wait untl around Mother's Day.

Wow!!! Reading all of your posts makes me realize that with this hobby I am so fortunate to live in San Diego.

I put my Adenium back outside nearly 3 weeks ago, my baby Ocotillo about a week and a half ago and the Palo Verde seeds I sowed on a heat mat inside I put out as soon as their little heads were poking out of the soil.

Living where I do and seeing what you colder climate folks have to go through with your shorter growing seasons makes me have even more respect for what you are trying to (and are able to) accomplish. For me, the weather does a lot of the work already.

Kudos to you cold climate cacti & succulent growers who endeavor to persevere!

I wish I lived in San Diago! I know, I have always wanted to be somewhere where the weather allows very early plantings.

Mines too have gone outside. I drape a shade cloth over them for about a week and then full sun it is on my flat roof. They are up there now and I don't think a few cold nights will hurt, as long as they dry out good and it does not freeze. In fact, this is when I get my most amazing colors. Cooler nights and cool days hot sun. If I stuck mine out in May, it would be too late for that.

I did keep a few of my prized plants inside, in which will never be able to go outside. I have to keep the watering and temps in my total control.

It's great to see everyone is coming so close to being excited to bring them out, and Chris, thank God we can now up here in M.A!

My citrus have been out for weeks. The cold nights do not bother them a bit.

Chris, you have such amazing plants there. Great job. So clean and vibrant.

I have a few plants out, but the big move will probably be after Thursday. Actually I don't even think I can do it all in one day, as I have to figure out the best place for everything, otherwise it is plant grid-lock. I have to hang the shade cloths up onto the bare gazebo frame, Wednesday looks good weather wise for that.

Holy moly the wind is kicking! I love watching the pine trees sway and hope they can handle it.

Too cold yet. Too much bring in/out.
