In the process of painting my paneled basement, which serves as a bonus/media room. I had originally started painting it white but had to move down there for a renovation and am now rethinking the color. I’m leaning towards BM Hale Navy now - I think it’s a perfect color for a media room and would look great on the paneling.

My question is - do I paint it in a flat or semi gloss? Leaning towards flat, but have seen some really pretty uses of a glossier paint. Ignore furniture, refreshed space will have an off white sectional and likely an oriental rug. I’m planning to paint the trim the same white as the rest of my house and will need to paint ceiling as well if anyone has any good white ceiling color recommendations.
