    Hello. In response to where to find shiplap. At any lumber store.
    It is typically a 1/2 x however deep you like. ie. 1/2 x 6 by whatever length board. Can be bought smooth or rough, can be tongue and groove, depending on preference. Be careful of pine boards as the knots tend to bleed through stains and sometimes through paint. Having said that, it can be a great look, more on the rustic chic side. Definitely use and oil primer then paint for a smooth, solid paint look. It’s a great look. Can be farm house chic or transitional as a statement wall.
    It is also fairly inexpensive and easy to install.

      Further on the shiplap.......
      For a seamless look, you could look into using MDF baseboard, flat stock. I’m not sure how it compares in pricing with the standard boards. But, it would give you the smooth seamless look you were inquiring about. MDF is extremely dusty when cutting. It also comes in long lengths 10’ plus. If you spray paint it, it would look like finish trim work.

      We did the MDF planks and it was very inexpensive and easy. Want to do more walls !!!
