Really liked the first door in glass/teak. Also the door in light greige with glass.

I would choose something that breaks up the dark exterior. Teak and dark grey is a beautiful combination. Also a good match for your garage doors.

Might be a very expensive material though?

The house does not suit craftsman IMO but a nice MCM door with a matching garage door would be my choice

I agree you house would look better with a modern style door with sidelights. I like the one you picked just after your favorite one panel of glass. I would paint it white or a very pale blue green, Love the color of your house!

I like the full glass one, and would go with a stained wood that your husband likes. Then you could do stained garage doors for a look like Tina posted.

If you go with a painted door I'd use a much lighter color since it is in a shadow.

Such helpful comments thank you. And special thanks to those of you who shared your photoshop skills! My husband is not good at visualizing in his head so that will help him out a lot. Funny I've been drawn to the mid-century doors but felt my house was too traditional looking, but I think you've all convinced me otherwise. The first door in teak is definitely a splurge, I don't think I'd even want to know what matching garage doors would cost though lol! Black is definitely ruled out now, I love the brightness that the lighter colors or even wood brings to that space. No longer looks like a cave. I agree that the light grey would not match the trim currently, however we just redid windows and soffit on the back of the house and swapped that over to hardie board trim around the windows in arctic white, so that change will likely be coming to the front of the house too at some point with the next repaint. I think now I'm leaning to the first wood door, or the grey with the multi lites, but possibly painted a pale blue/green instead. Have to get the husbands opinion now and see what similar doors are available locally.
