Laundry choices...head is spinning!

We are doing a pretty big renovation and replacing the laundry machines is part of it. Initially I thought I would go to Speed Queen. I have seen lots of diehard fans and rave reviews. But I realize things have recently changed with Speed Queen so perhaps not the best choice. So I have started researching other models/brands as well. I do a LOT of laundry - kids in sports and constantly have my machines going and more loads waiting. So I came across the Samsung Flex washer/dryer that have the second little washer on top that seemed like a great option! Rated well with Consumer Reports but the reviews are very divided on these and Samsungs in general. So LG was my next go-to - also highly rated in Consumer reports and there is a little washer available to add onto the bottom of it to do a smaller second load at the same time, although that doesn't give the option of drying a second load with the LG. The more I research, the more confused I get! Can anyone give me some good opinions, advice, etc? Thank you!

Set up your laundry room to accommodate 2 sets of w/d. That is what I have in my basement and I love it. I have used Miele front loaders down there. I have another set on our main floor. So I have 3 Miele sets, lol. They are great machines though expensive and small. I went with one new set, then the others were used. I worked on them to get them running with help from the laundry forum and another washing machine site called Automatic Washer

I would never buy a Samsung, I had major issues with a Samsung fridge I bought.

I would never buy a top loading machine without an agitator. The clothes don't get clean reported by many posters on this forum. The turn over is poor. Some people reported that the clothes didn't even get wet throughout the cycle.

Take a look at the 500 or 600 series Electrolux.

They wash very well , drying is average.

I've had electrolux for the past couple of years. LOVE the washer, would buy it again in a second. It does wash very well.

Don't love the dryer quite so much. It's got way too many specialty cycles and no basic autodry cycles.

I would avoid the Samsung top loader until they fix the 'explosion' problem.

And I think there have been complaints about LG top loaders not using enough water to get the cloths wet, much less clean.

My son has an LG top loader and I used it for a comforter to compare because his is larger capacity than mine. Parts of it inside were dry when I took it out. He has never had a problem with normal loads of clothes, sheets and towels. It may just be that the comforter isn't heavy enough to trigger more water use and I didn't know the settings that might need to be changed. My sister had one also for a while (her ex got it in the divorce because she got a new laundry pair with her new house -- Electrolux, I think). Never heard a bad word on either.

I have an LG front loader and have been very happy with it.

I really like my set of 2018 Speed Queen. Fast and our clothes are clean.

I’ve had my Electrolux 600 series w/d for about 6 months. I love them. The issue mentioned above with the dryer being a bit complicated was a thing at first but I learned my few favorite settings and just go that route.

If you get a top loader, make sure you can reach the bottom of washer. Some are really deep now.

I am now reconsidering and think I am going to do 2 stacking sets but this changes the options I am looking at. Apparently few have doors that reverse and the way the dials are situated on the machines, some are a lot better for stacking than others. I have a king sized bed and do large loads of laundry so capacity is an issue and don't want tiny machines so the ones that are in the 5.2 capacity range seem to be a good size. Any that you love? Hate?
