Who Knows About Sweet Almond?

I got a Sweet Almond bush today at the master gardener's sale. All I know is that the blooms have a wonderful fragrance. Anyone out there who can give me some details? I've searched it online but sometimes people can give better info. from experience. The lady there just said that it can be in part sun and shade and that the butterflies love it.
