Whenever I put a bed in front of a window I like adding wall to wall, floor to ceiling drapery to the window to act as a secondary "headboard" for the bed (as I did in this master bedroom). This gives a really warm feel to the room and will actually help to make the space feel wider and taller. Use a linen or wool for a nice clean look.
