Your plant looks beautiful. Is it the older flowers that are browning? That would be normal. Just clip them off at the bottom. As for brown tips on the leaves, I don’t know what causes that. Mine has the brown tips, but as long as it’s just a small bit I don't worry. I like your idea of using “aged” water.

They last a few days, not weeks. The good part is they are continually putting out new blooms. Just cut off the brown ones and you'll get more.

It does look good, especially that it's continuing to bloom after repotting. I agree that browning blooms are normal.

I don't mist mine, rather I use pebble or humidity trays. I take some kind of saucer, add pebbles, place plant on top & then water til there's water flowing out the bottom. Allow enough water to cover the pebbles, so that the plant is sitting ON TOP OF, not in the pebbles & water. This allows it to take up a bit more water at its own pace as needed.

they are sensitive to root disturbance: often sulk after repot and NOT grow for several months. also they DON"T like to become totally dry. you need to water it when the mix is 1/3 dry at the most during warm months. in winter at cooler 65F temps - when top 1/2 of mix is dry.

this plant loves to be moist warm and humid. the 'white flowers' are bracts (modified leaves) and as such they last very long may be 4-6 weeks.

Petrushka...I recently divided and repotted a large Peace Lily. One did really well after but the other did pout for months, so I'll agree with you on that. Are you saying the "flowers" are not actually flowers? I've never had one last 4-6 weeks unless you count the time it looks to be fading.

I haven't had a lot of flowers, but found those I had lasted about 7 days to 2 wks. Last year I was asked to divide a very crowded one. Ended up keeping both the resultant pots myself, one threw a bloom shortly after being divided, the other didn't. I too get brown tips, if / when they irritate me, I trim them off.

Socks, the white brachts contain that long, thin spath. I believe that's the actual flower, tho' Petruska could probably explain it better.

i looked at my notes and it says that the white sail part (spathe) remains attractive for 4-5 weeks. but ..the little dots on spadix (actual flowers) fade very fast, but most people that don't know better refer to spathe as flower...so it depends on vocabulary :).

Hello, so I trimmed off the two that were turning brown and now two more are turning brown. Is that still normal? I also noticed that the ones that are turning brown have a powdery white pollen that is being released? I have three flowers that are blooming still and they seem healthy. I’m scared that they will turn brown before they mature. Should I place the plant in a sunnier location with brighter indirect light?

what you need to do is stop being scared :).

if it is producing more flowers since you got it 2 mo ago - it is doing ok.

which direction does yr window face and how much sun it gets? if it's hot noon sun, better keep it 2 feet away. if it's nice early or very late sun - you can move it closer. but you should water it more then you have been doing. it's a rather big plant . i can't see the size of your new pot relative to plant size. pic?

pot size is good - can keep it in it for several years . it's a good size healthy plant too. NW window should give you some sun, it'll love it!

That is a very healthy plant. I'm jealous. Stop worrying! On my gardening blog, the most popular article is titled "Why are my hibiscus leaves turning yellow?" People get crazy about it, when hibiscus are largely just persnickity plants that drop leaves if the wind blows wrong. Peace lilies are the same way. They'll always have leaves dying on the bottom. It's normal.
