this collector always wonders why anyone would need more than one of any hosta ... there are simply too many others.. to waste space on duplicates.. lol ...

there used to be a number of very good vendors in IA ... there is.. and trust me on this .. nothing better than an early morning road trip to SEE and buy hosta ... its something like at the link below ...

I’m actually planning a trip to the Flying Frog Hosta Farm (flyingfrogfarms.com) soon. Their online catalog looks amazing! I have most of what I want from the local greenhouses; now I’m looking for fun unique varieties!

Yup. I’m thinking it might be Wide Brim also. Patriot is another similar one, but I found it didn’t thrive well for me in Z5.

Flying Frog Farms is a wonderful place. Nice display gardens and huge number of cultivars available. Very nice people, too!

The owners and staff at Flying Frog are fantastic. We are planning a trip there too, only this year we are going earlier. It's been in the 90's the past couple times we've been there.

I wish we had a Hosta Society here. If we did, it would probably consist of only three members. Don_in_Colorado, Sunnywood and me. Haha.
