living room corner help

I’m trying to decide how best to fill the space of a corner of my living room.

The living room currently has only a L-shaped sectional for seating (it’s not a huge space) and in the corner, I need some storage for the cable box, music system, vacuum, etc. Whatever is there needs to have cabinet doors to hide the tech and whatever else we put in it. The right side of the fireplace is next to the dining room and we will buy a black metal bar cart. Dog bed will be moved.

I was thinking some sort of built-in bench with cushions for seating and cabinets for storage space. But wasn’t sure if it would be too tucked into the corner for functional seating. Would a side table make sense between the built-in and couch?

I also considered a storage cabinet with door, but haven’t been able to decide on which wood/color I want to use, nor have a found a cabinet I love. I also feel like a storage cabinet may be a little awkward in the corner space since it’ll stick out further than the fireplace. I realize seating could too but the cabinet feels more awkward.

Basically I guess I’m curious people’s thoughts on built-in benches vs cabinet and/or other furniture options in the corner of the room.
