Counter -depth Refrigerator Recommendations

I am trying to decide between a Cafe CWE23SP2MS1 or a Kitchen Aid KRFC302ESS --- Tall Unit w/ Premium Interior Counter-depth Refrigerator for our kitchen remodel.
Recommendations?

Hi! I can’t really comment on the choices you selected, but wanted to say that we’ve had a counter-depth French door fridge (JennAir) for 13 years, and I love it! Works well and looks sleek against the cabinets. An added bonus: less depth for those less-loved veggies to get “lost”...

You need to find current reviews. Ive had a KA counter depth French door for a bit over five years. I’m happy with it and the only repair was the ice maker about six months ago. I had an extended warranty in place. The refrigerator configuration is really good.

I just finished a remodel and went with the KA KRFC302ESS.

Selecting a refrigerator was the most difficult decision in terms of appliances and I visited the appliance store several times before making my decision. It is functionally and design almost equivalent to the slightly higher priced Jennair which is a KA sister company.

I opted for the KA because I wanted a panel ready model and I also liked that it had a bit of additional height. I also didn't want a water dispenser.

The refrigerator seems to work fine but I've only had it operating since October when I moved back after the remodel. I like the shallower depth since I don't have things getting lost in the back and the storage for produce and the long center "deli" storage seems to work well as do the various shelves on the doors.

I would probably purchase it again although hopefully I won't be purchasing ANY refrigerator in the near future. However, ironically in many ways I prefer my old crummy cheap refrigerator which had the freezer on the top. I realize that functionally the freezer on the bottom makes more sense because heat rises and also one is more likely to be accessing refrigerator stuff and so it's nice that produce isn't at the bottom. However, with a pull out freezer drawer, I can't "cram" as much stuff in as I could with the freezer that was just a box since the baskets in the freezer drawer won't close if they are too high - so I have to be careful not to bring home too much frozen stuff :-). Also, I probably should have gone with a single door - It was way more convenient to load and unload food from the counter with the door swung completely out of the way - I have to stand directly in front of the refrigerator and reach across to the counter. If I had longer arms, maybe this wouldn't be a problem :-).

Which fridge did you go with? I'm currently debating between the same two models.
