Built-in window seating and an air vent

13 years ago
I am REALLY wanting built-in bookcases with a built-in window seat in the front room of our house. However, there is a heating and air floor vent in front of the window. It happens to be the only one in the room, so covering it up will not work. Since this is a DIY project, moving the vent is not an option either. Any thoughts on how I can make this dream a reality? Will I be able to put a window seat there and keep the air vent to heat and cool the room? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
