It's only necessary if you don't like the prints. :) The art didn't post though. Looks like quite a view. I'd want to bring the outdoors in as well. Add some of that beautiful green to your room, pairs well with soft pink/coral.

Thank you all for the ideas. Love that Otomi throw Irene... that could help break up the white a lot... Can't do pendants, it's too late for that, I'd have to get lamps.. Appreciate all the help..

I think the furniture would be fine against the right color walls. Try painting them a very soft blush color.

I find soft blush quite versatile for a bedroom but it really depends on the colour scheme one wants. It's lovely with neutrals (including greys and silver), warm metallics, white, coral, orange, warm pinks, greens, navy, teal, violet, brown, and touches of black. Can't really think of many colours that wouldn't play well with blush. Maybe a blue-based red wouldn't look good? (Someone out there has done it and pulled it off, I'm sure. :)) Maybe this slideshow can inspire, kaymanuel.

Btw, the pink and the white in your first pic work but don't read "calm and serene" to me. I find that particular hot pink energizing. It's your bedroom; it's important that you figure out the colours that will fulfill your mood. Colour is personal and not everyone reacts the same way to the same colour. If you like the idea of soft blush, keep exploring it.

You might be right, KK1000. Kaymanuel, have you taken a bit of time to browse inspiration pictures here or on Pinterest? You can do a search for "blush master bedroom" for example or use any colour that piques your curiosity. What reads "calm and serene" to you? This doesn't look like a very large room and I don't think it will require a multitude of decisions to "finish". The colourful art should inspire as well. If you share it, we could provide a few colour schemes that might appeal to you. Perhaps you want to have a plan for the room and list all the things left to "do"?

• Lamps
• Rug
• Throw and pillows
• Wall colour (easier to match/coordinate wall colour to bedding than vice versa so most suggest choosing that element last)
• Ceiling light fixture?

If you share your budget and inspiration pics, we can probably help you find whatever elements are missing. Your bedroom should please your senses. Trust your taste to decorate it.

Yes, you're right KK1000, I am struggling, but I do feel like I'm starting to find a direction now. I really do like the blush idea and agree with Tartanmeup that the hot pink makes me feel even hotter (and it's hot enough in Huatulco!!). This is the download from Etsy I had framed in a black frame. It's the only thing on the wall right now. I know, it's a bit bold isn't it.. but I do like it... Do you think the bltush colour will still look okay with it? Again, Thanks for the help all of you x

kaymanuel, your picture didn't come through. Try again? If you like the art you chose for your bedroom, that's all that matters, really. This is your bedroom, not a public space. It should tickle and soothe YOUR senses.

Kaymanuel, Have you decided on anything yet? I'm looking to move to Mexico next year, maybe actually to Huatulco. I think I'm going to go straight-up Mexi-colors; bright and cheerful. If you don't mind, could you PM me and let me pick your brain a little about Huatulco? I've watched all the videos on YouTube, but of course, that paints a bright picture so I want to hear the real-life story.

I like the color of the walls and the headboard, but i think what you need is to add lighting, a few more pillows, some greenery and explode the pink more accesories or a painting, have you think to put metals? Golden or Rose gold accesories are going to change completly your room for sure

@dirtygardener, Don't move to Mexico based on sales videos. Go to the US State Dept website and look under travel advisories. There is a lot of useful information for different areas. You should know what you're getting yourself into.
