Help with floating wall shelf placement

I bought four of these round floating shelves to go on either side of the ‘art’ display string. There are two larger and two smaller. I am planning to hang the large one on top and the small one below to the right and left . But, I’m wondering, should I place the top one even with the string, or above the string? I’m not sure how to best arrange them.

    What a cute room. Love the colored buttons on the sofa.

    I think you should cut some square paper the size of each, so you can easily position them on the wall. Move the squares until it looks right. Starting at the bottom. Measure about 5 to 6 inches from the top of the sofa for the bottom edge of the circle. Estimate how much space you want between the top and bottom of the two units, then place the second one on top.

    Here is a mock-up, slightly off because of the picture angle. I alternated the sizes. The left side looks better.
