Sorry if there's a newer thread, but most of what I've found is a few years old. I'm choosing appliances for our new kitchen and hoped someone could share their current experiences on major brands.

I'm considering primarily LG or GE Profile. I've looked at Consumer Reports, so I'm leaning towards the LG fridge with GE for cooking, except I've heard that the GE takes forever to preheat. I use my oven a lot. Looks like Bosch makes some good stuff too, especially dishwashers...

We need a fridge (French door), 36" gas cooktop, wall oven/micro combo and dishwasher--also stackable washer and dryer, but that might be a different thread. I'm not opposed to mixing and matching brands.

Anyone have experience with the LG appliances in 2017 ish to present? Updates on GE Profile line? links to pertinent threads or information I should know? Thanks in advance!
