Help with BROWNING Leucospermum Sunrise

This has been in container at my house for about 2 weeks and planned on planting today......But before I do, and before I add worm castings to the cactus mix as suggested by the nursery, could the worm castings that I already topped this container with have been a bad idea? Suggestions for bringing back to health besides just getting it in the ground???
