Looking at your colour options before & now.. you seemed to be interested in bright happy colour palette ..

Are you open to any of these colour schemes...

grey shutters with pale yellow / orange door

dark green shutters with brown main door

you could bring in more colour with your landscape

If you paint shutters blue, then paint the door a bright color to draw attention - yellow BM Honeybee (or orange) to highlight the entrance. Then....At the bottom of your steps, add two large blue ceramic planter pots with yellow/coordinating flowers.

Examples of blue & yellow combos below:

PORCH color- The porch is small...Dress it up with an outdoor rug

Or BM Smoke Embers

Finish the porch with layered doormat & outdoor rug (or DIY one from canvas drop cloth and outdoor fabric)

Chuppi I wish could find and app to do mock ups like that! I actually grew up in a house with green shutters and very earthy tones so I would end up feeling like I'm a kid back on our farm lol

DK Haas I do like the bright colors and I think the blue/yellow combo is adorable but it isn't very "me" , lol a little to bold

I suggested a bright colored door, as the front entrance door is shadowed by the portico. Colored doors and planters are instant curb appeal at minimal cost and effort.

If...su casa es mI casa, then I'd remove the shutters and add wider Window trim, plus a front porch pergola would do wonders, but more pricey to be sure. Perhaps something to consider?

What would you all suggest I do with the wood porch floor? I was thinking pull a grey from the stone around the flower beds for the wood floor and white wash the brick

Since the painted wood porch floor is chipping, you can paint it with a nice stencil pattern. Lots of options: stenciled floor

I like the idea of the Hale Navy shutters and a lightened version of it on the front door. Flower boxes would look cute under the windows.

Flower boxes would be very nice! I've got azaleas planted between the holly bushes but I'm thinking about moving them and putting in more holly bushes in the gaps so that I can plant lots of flowers in the front of the bed

I agree with removing the azaleas and replacing with the holly bushes. I also like the idea of painting the landing a color from the stone border and I’d think about painting the brick the same color.

I like the idea of a grey porch floor and I wouldn't touch the brick. If you go with Hale Navy, get a sample jar from SW in the color you think you want for the door and do a poster board to see if you really like it. I don't personally care for the lighter blues or grey on the door.

I prefer the door on the third photo. I’d prefer that the porch floor be the same color as the roof and the stone border. They look more like a brownish gray, not a true gray.

The dark blue shutters look great. I would wait to choose the final door color once those are changed. The Cerise and planted flowers would help to bring people’s eyes to the door since it’s so shadowed. I don’t love the pale blues and greys when the door is under a roof. It needs more intensity. Cute house!!

I agree with RedRyder. I also would not paint the porch brick. It's a nice classic colour that looks great against green (from your landscaping). My vote for your door is Cerise or a coral, orange or yellow. A bright saturated colour. Intensity, as RedRyder said. Blues would work as well but I wouldn't go with a muted greyed-blue. Looking at SW's wall of colour on their website, I'd try something like Capri or Danube. Play around with their visualizer some more. Also agree on waiting until shutters are done before deciding. Please please please do not remove those beautiful azalea bushes. They are so beautiful when they are in bloom. Add year round color- yellow leaf bushes -between them?

Your porch doesn't need paint. It needs an outdoor rug.

Amy I prefer the maroon or wine coloured door, with the color of the shutters in your mock-ups, very nice!

Don't paint the brick. It looks great.

I think you need a warmer color to balance the coolness of the white house and navy shutters. Don't go too dark though, since the door is shaded. You want it to stand out a bit.

I love the colors in one of the palettes suggested by DK Haas - New classics, the Hale Navy & Savannah Moss would look terrific. Love that citrussy yellow/green with Navy. Also the idea of some yellow colored bushes in the lanscaping to tie in with this.

Hey, since you seem to have made your mind on window shutter colour, dive hard into the idea!!

As RedRyder suggested see where your heart leads after.

Don't be too scared the worst that could happen is a rerun to your paint store & a recoat of paint.

Thanks everyone for the ideas I've decided to keep it simple for now and get enough paint so that I have the option to do the door navy after I've done the shutters. Still not too sure about the floor but I guess we'll figure it out when we get there lol I'd love a rug to cover the whole thing but we live in the country so it would get trashed so fast lol. I can't wait to get it all done!!

Ps it seems like almost everyone is against painting the brick so I will leave that alone
