Do you have any ideas for a more contemporary looking pedestal sink?

Since I live in Wisconsin, I am a big fan of Kohler. Check out their website.

I wonder if a 36" freestanding would fit nicely, allowing room on both sides (since you have the radiator) Pedestals are great if it's your only option - but since you have the room, I would use a vanity - and have the extra storage for TP, cleaning products and any toiletries.

Is there any possibility of getting the toilet out of the doorway?

Can you switch out the radiator to a newer less obtrusive style?

Can you consider lowering the faucet so that the tile acts as a backsplash.

Have your vanity extend from wall to wall and route the radiator to a heated towel bar or new style modern radiator.

I don't think you'd find a pedestal sink without faucet holes and you do want to keep your wall faucet as they are so nice for keeping the counter clean. You need a taller vanity, of course. You could do a 36" W or smaller vanity, leaving enough open space on both sides for the radiator and a waste basket and for ease of cleaning. I would choose one based on the drawer configuration and style. You'd probably want a furniture style vanity with legs for a more open look.

Thank you all! We are actually getting rid of the wall tile and have the flexibility of moving from wall mount faucet to a traditional one, if that helps. Do you all agree 36 inches is better than 42?

Yes I agree with 36" being better. I also think doing a vanity along these lines https://www.wayfair.com/home-improvement/pdp/three-posts-kordell-36-single-bathroom-vanity-set-w001672083.html with an open shelf on bottom and legs (don't pay attention to the actual color/style, unless you love this one- just did a quick search) would also help it feel less crowded while still gaining storage.
