Sick Cactus. Please Help!!

I recently purchased an “Indian corn cob” or trichocereus brevispinulosus cactus and as I brought it home I noticed some alarming marks on the outside of the cactus. I would love to know what the diagnosis is and how/if i can treat it. i would love to know what i can do to make sure it becomes healthy again :(
