I am following along closely as we are also doing wood lowers (either oak or walnut) and white uppers with white counters, and I have these same photos saved. :) I agree that glossy will blend in more with your counter, but I am terrible at backsplash. I think that either way, it will be beautiful.

One other thought - this would be an amazing opportunity to continue the countertop material up the wall as a backsplash instead of using a tile.

Curious what cabinet line and white color you will use. We are going with 2 toned look as well.
