I'm in Southern California Zone 10B. Our small yard has a tropical theme and currently has hibiscus, Paraguay nightshade, Giant Birds of Paradise, palms, "Canna Tropicanna" lilies, and a couple of scheffleras. I'm looking to plant a small border against the wall of our yard and having trouble selecting plants with a tropical feel. The yard is southern exposure but the area against the wall is part shade. I'm considering ferns and bromeliads but looking for other ideas. I love plants with interesting and colorful foliage and so far bought Tradescantia pallida (purple heart plant), a Hawaiian Ti Plant, and considering getting Tradescantia zebrina as well. Any other ideas for me?
