The hummingbirds really like the ones I have. If I cut off spent flower spikes, it repeats for a fairly long season.

I've got some to and they are wonderful plants. Really add a great point of visual interest to the garden.

I love this plant but have never had success to have it last beyond a second season. I gave up.

I had one I planted at my parents house when I was a young college student that lasted for at least twenty years, till it was choked out by a clematis that mounded over it. I never really got any flowering but the first, but I like them and may try one again soon (been thinking about it). The mounds of foliage are somewhat unique in non-succulent gardens, so I like those too.

I planted three Flamenco in my hottest, driest spot two years ago. They have increased in size and are blooming quite spectacularly this year. I just purchased six more from the Bluestone spring clearance.

My palette is blue & purple: Flamenco is a vibrant accent . Personally, I think it's hideous. The spouse thinks it's fab. The neighbors think it's fab. The hummingbirds think it's fab. I have to remember that I don't only garden for myself.
