It would make a nice statement if it went to the ceiling. It will highlight the angled wall and it will help make your space seem larger by extending it. Right now it cuts off the height of your ceiling.

Please build it floor to ceiling ... when you're ready. I love the .... what are they? Look like a cross between a surfboard and a canoe. Forgive my ignorance, but a couple of them look like the South African flag, and I'm South African. Whatever, they are wonderfully graphic.

As it is now, it has created an odd space. You could either get 3 small exactly the same plants and place them right where those lights are. (I know I'll get alot of flak about this but I use fake but very realistic cactus plants in a glossy pot - so theres no water damage ever). The light behind them will highlight them and the glossy pot will add a bit of sheen. I get really good ones at Target or Pier 1.

(rinamin- they are wakeboards, more of a cross between a surfboard/snowboard/water ski, for riding behind a boat)

Looks superb! The left side now balances the right and makes the architectural slope of your ceiling that much more noticeable. I think you've done a great job!

Thanks everyone, so I guess it is staying; now I've just got to figure out what to put up there since once it goes up, its staying- way to high to have easy accesibility or daily use/function.
