Front bed is finally ready!

I posted a while back about getting started on this front garden. I did as suggested and got it cleared out and more level and defined. We got the bed cleaned up and fixed the run off issues(we think!). I am ready to start my list of conifers to get ready for planting in the fall.

Here is a quick drawing we did.

The view from across the road. I am planning on keeping everything except the Nandina. I can get rid of some or all of it, whatever works. I would prefer conifers in the bed around the mailbox.

Here is the view from the opposite side looking out to the road. As you can see, there is no house across the road and never will be.

This is the view from the front porch steps.

As I’m new to conifers I’m not sure where to start, and what conifers are best suited to a neophyte.

I would love something blue in here( a dwarf blue cypress?), something small and cone shaped but not formal(dwarf HinokI cypress?), maybe something with some interesting pine cones. As you can tell I’m pretty new lol.
