My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

RainDancer. This one has been a complete surprise to me. I hadn‘t heard much about it so didn’t really have many expectations. I LOVE the blue-it really stands out and is such a pretty shade.




NOID but the green is such a nice spring green. Really grabs the eye




Loyalist. The white scares me but so far, so good.

    In the PNW, there is no such thing as a hosta that doesn't do well!! As long as you keep them out of the reach of deer, slugs or snails :-)

    'Patriot' is the oldest hosta I grow, received as a division from a friend maybe 20 years ago, and has spent its entire life in a container. It and its sister hosta, 'Minuteman', are both robust, vigorous growers. 'Loyalist' is a sport of 'Patriot' and shares that same robustness.

    I have to say that I am impressed that anyone here in the PNW can grow hostas without any sign of slug or snail predation. That is the primary reason I grow all mine in containers but that is still no guarantee. Even liberal applications of Sluggo don't keep them 100% clean! Nice work, oursteelers :-)
