Case opening dilemma (one-sided wall)

We have a wall opening that looks like this:

We plan to case the opening behind it but I don't know what to do about this half-opening! Would it look strange to case a half wall? The upper part looks slightly slanted, which might make it look even stranger. Or would it look weirder to leave it uncased when the opening behind will be cased? (We also plan to case/trim the windows). What other options should we consider?

Yes, I would not case the slant. In fact I wouldn't case anything, no need to bring attention to these entry ways. Is this your home as it is now or a real estate photo? Just curious because I dont see any art work around and the dining table is set.

This is the real estate photo. I looked today and the opening isn't slanted - just the way the photo is. Does that change your opinion?

I don’t understand the need for casing I see no other molding anywhere except for baseboards so I would leave them alone.
