How to distribute the cold air in a basement to the rest of the house?

With the central A/C unit running, the basement becomes significantly cooler than the two levels above grade. Aside from closing the vents in the basement, what other tips and tricks are there to spread some of that cool air upwards to the rest of the house?

How big is your house and how big is the AC? You can probably reduce the airflow to the basement, depending on how much air/cooling would be going to the rest of the house.

If you have a return in basement, you can set stat fan to ”on” and that would pull cool air from basement and spread to rest of house. I do this at night and basement basically gives free cooling.
