I would certainly separate that eye out............perhaps later in summer when it starts to cool a bit still has some time to send out new roots and settle in. Very nice

I’ve had mixed results separating sports. I’ve had both parts die and another time growth set back so severely that I wondered why I bothered to do it. It looks beautiful and different now, if it were mine I would leave it be. Right now I have a twenty y o Dick Ward sporting it’s staying as is.

I love the sport. The variegation in the leaf.

Leaving the plant in place, use a sharp knife/tool to divide the green sections from the sport at the crown; dig & remove the green sections only, without digging up your sport. Your sport will not know that anything happened. It’s very beautiful.
