Lighting Design Dilemma Hall

space and light strobe dilemma.. pls help 2

hi there, i m in the middle of renovating my house. my living hall have 14feet high ceiling and my hall have 20feet x 20feet area.. i am worry that the ceiling fan unable to provide a good flow down since it is so high, but if i stall a downrod of 2 or 3feet, i afriad it will create light strobe.. what should i do,, pls assist .. thanks

can you move the light away from the fan? Or fan from the light?
