Make sure your night tables/chests are up on legs, that you have lamps with tall bases, and put a piece of art over each night table. A rug in a pattern would add a lot to the room. This one has a subtle bit of gold to echo the floor. Bedding can remain neutral white with gold pillows--solid or print--on the bed.

PRO7 years agolast modified: 7 years agoI think I might start by selecting a rug for the room first and seeing where that directs me. Here's how your bed reacts to a variety of colors and patterns. I'd also start looking to replace the overhead light fixture. The quality of light in the room is not very good from this fixture.
Put together a contemporary bedrrom with some type of chandelier and some good linens for your bed. See below.This below would be a Boho look.

Say the floor/rug were similar in hue, and the only warm in the room - could this lamp be in corner to keep simple neutral all along the walls...turned other way to repeat angle of ceiling.
Display photo shows a linen/gray sofa.. pastel blue accents?

PRO7 years agoWhy not start with a rug? Once you get a rug for the space, you can easily decorate around that. It also might help you decide what you want for nightstands, curtains, and bedding.
