Congratulations! It looks great!

Beautiful

Stephanie, this looks like a beautiful kitchen...but the pictures are so tiny! Could you please add/repost with regular size after pictures?

Interesting. We have a similar u-shaped layout and recently debated about shifting to something similar to your before, but ultimately decided not to because each step would spiral into more changes we just don't have the time or money for right now (flooring and ceiling/piping changes). In the decision process, we made a makeshift island and spent a couple days just seeing how we moved around it. Decided things might get crowded and tight. It had some positives, too, but not enough for us to take the leap. Really the only issue with our current layout is the stupid position of the dishwasher, but it's not enough of a problem to go into full reno mode.

So I'm curious about your decision to move from L+island to U (w/ the extension peninsula)? I think the trend is still currently island positive. Also, it looks like you have a patio door behind your peninsula seating. Is that just a window or door?

lovvvve!!!! so bright and white. great job!

emilikins, our original kitchen wasn’t just an L with an island. There were more cabinets on the wall across from the sink. After living with the island for a year we realized how much is blocked everything and how tight it was. We have doors there leading to a deck. Hope that helps.
