Lovely bedroom… I think I would like my lamps to match

I would like the lamps to match. I like the blue one better than the lighter colored one.

sableincal, I haven't been able to come up with another place for the navy lamp.

Kathy Handy Ginter, I the consensus so far seems to be for matching lamps.

Martha Scott, do you like the navy lamp better even without a book under it? I'm thinking the navy doesn't show up as well by itself on the dark table & a book under both sides might be a bit much?

Slicklydia, thank you, it’s a real change in palette after the cozy but darker colors we’ve had for years in there. Have the same wall color in our hall bath; it leans more to the blue side in the bedroom light. The color is: Sea Salt & we love it!

I looked at sea salt for our windowless powder room. It didn't work there, but after seeing it in your bedroom, may try it in our master.

Do you have a dresser that you could put the navy lamp on?

I would want them to match.

Slicklydia, We used the next darker color on the paint strip, Comfort Gray, in another bedroom. My lighting in this room is in transition & without furniture, it’s kinda hard to tell about the color. But we like it also!

Pegasus101, the dresser is tall. I’m not sure the lamp is needed or if it adds much there with the big mirror. Here are some pictures . . . That part of the room is still in transition with another picture waiting to be hung on the wall opposite the window. And I’m considering having the chair reupholstered in a blue (or looking for a new one.) Also considering using some teal curtains that I ended up not using elsewhere. I like the color although I might not have chosen the grommets or that material for a bedroom. Need to get the curtain rod up & try it.

Okay, the blue lamp has been returned (sigh), and we now have matching lamps. Seriously, I think I knew that's what needed to happen & the contrast with the dark tables is much better. So now does anyone have any thoughts re the chair (re-upholstery material/color) or suggestions for a new chair? How about the curtains? Am I on the right track?
