Master bedroom layout

We are adding a 16x30 master bedroom/bathroom. The 16’ walls are north and south with entrance on north wall. I’d like to have the bed on the opposite, south wall to have optimum sun exposure. My wish list for the bathroom includes a soaker tub, separate shower, water closet, and two sinks. A walk-in closet (or two) would also be great.
Two questions: 1. Any suggestions for layout that doesn’t involve a hallway? I can’t think of any other alternative and hate to waste space. 2. Do I have room for my wish list without everything feeling crammed? We currently have a small sitting room just outside the bedroom entrance that we could capture.
If it helps, I’m partial to the general layout below for the bathroom.
Thank you for any advice you can provide!!

Can you post a picture of your house as is and the proposed position of the addition? Need to know things: where the doorway will be positioned and the position of the sitting room that you hope to incorporate

The layout you posted is very expansive... the bedroom alone is nearly the same size as your whole addition....

Below are pictures of the small sitting area we can incorporate. The first picture is what you see as you reach the top of the stairs. The windows will be removed and the bedroom door can essentially go anywhere on that wall. The third picture is looking out the existing window at the poured foundation. The contractor also told us that we will be able to capture an additional 4 feet due to roof layout, so actual measurements will be 16x34.
Thank you again for any advice!!

If it helps, the house is an old farmhouse built in the 1800s.

Enchant Design the bedroom you designed is wonderful! Thank you for sharing it! My concern is most efficient use of space, having the bed on one end of the room and entrance on the opposite end. Using your layout, our sitting room would be at the same location as your Master Closet and we would enter the bedroom there. In between, we need a closet(s) and bathroom. Your design does give me some great ideas, if I can just figure out where exactly to place it in the room and not create a long hallway to get from one end of room to the other.

Enchant Design your layout would be gorgeous! Love opening the bathroom door and making the tub the focal point.
I don’t think I’m doing a good job of explaining the addition. There is no ability to enter the room from the long walls. We would need to enter through the closet and then walk through the bathroom to get to the bed. Perhaps a hallway is our only option. Thank you so much for giving me some great ideas for bathroom layout!

Hello! I think I now fully understand the master bedroom entry. A short hallway may be the best bet. Enchant Design is glad to assist you in your endeavor. Feel free to reach out if you would like plans for the addition!
