So the granite guys never measured, right? This is their fault. We had a similar experience. Adding a backsplash with some creative customizing fixed it for us. You can make a backsplash with a tile molding at the base to cover the imperfections.

They clearly didn’t template. Do you have a contractor involved or are you handling this yourself?

Were you planning on a backsplash or did you expect a tight fit? Was that expressed to them?

First, most walls are not perfectly straight. That's why the granite people should have come in and measured and templated. This isn't on you to fix. Don't pay them and have them come back and PROPERLY do their job this time.

What’s going on on the cabinet wall intersection. Looks like there a huge uneven gap between those as well. Was this granite a prefab piece or one measured and cut from a larger slab?

Do the cabinets below follow the wall? If so, your overhang is off too.

Three possible fixes:

1. New granite that is properly templated.

2. New stucco added to the wall so it meets the back edge of the granite.

3. 1-1/2" thick trim piece or backsplash at the back to hide the gap.

This was not templated right and you are not answering the questions that are being asked.

Oh. My. God. Your fabricator should go back to templating school. This is UNACCEPTABLE.. New granite, TEMPLATED TO THE WALL. They eat this job and learn to do it right the first time.

This question has not yet been answered. I'd like to know who measured and ordered the slab before blaming the fabricator/installer.
