Looks like one of the stapelias.

I think it looks more like an Orbea or Huernia rather than a Stapelia but I'm not sure. I thought the Stapelia species have a bit of fuzz on their stems and I don't see any fuzz on the plant in the picture.

They dont. Some stapeliads do, but stapelia doesnt. All they have is some weird form of leaves on their margin. Otherwise agree with the ID. Were looking at a huernia most likely.

They are close to orbea, but their steams are pointier on the ribs, also squarer..

Well.. ok. It's been a while since I had a Stapelia (rampaging mealy bugs killed mine) but I thought there was some kind of ultafine fuzz texture on the stems. They weren't waxy smooth. Anyway, the tiny leaves are a good point.

Ive not seen fuzz(at least not that prominent on other stapelias).

Best specimen ive seen IRL was this one plant near one of out green markets, on a balcony. Old, well developed. Think i saw it bloom once... But dont remeber seeing any on it..

Edit: it is also probable, knowing how succulents can react to certain conditions, that it might be the result of high humidity...

do any of the Stapeldia or the like bleed white? i got this plant a long while ago, but it do remeber it being labeled a Euphorbia.... but i could be wrong... but it does bleed white

Stapeliads belong in the milkweed familiy( Asclepiadoideae) ) so not surprising. The main giveway for euphorbia is their teeny tiny lackluster flowers. In fact, some of the most prominent blooming euphorbias have have bracts instead of proper petals.(e.milii, e. pulcherrima)

Now stapeliads, for the most part have penta-star or pentagon shaped , foul smelling flowers. Often with hair on them.

The others... still have a pentagon sided structure somewhere on the bloom.

Like ceropegia... where now most stapeliads even reside..

I don’t remember any of my Stapeliae bleeding white it’s clear, but the sap does dry down to a white crust. Stapeliae are Asclepiads which are commonly known as milkweeds so maybe some do bleed a white substance.
