How long since you applied the Weed Stop? Sometimes it takes 2-3 weeks to see the weed dying out.

Where do you live?

What kind of grass do you have?

It is Japanese stiltgrass, Microstegium vimineum. The Spectracide is not working well because it is not listed for control of this weed species.

This is only the second time I remember Japanese stiltgrass being mentioned on this forum. As I recall it is a very hard plant to get rid of.

From what I have heard this annual evasive species weed is best treated with a premergent pesticides and herbicides , much the same as crab grass treatments .
