I'm not sure why you'd want to go into a Kohl's store to return something when it's so easy to just drop it off at a UPS store.

And I didn't know that kohl's took Amazon returns.

Ugh I just had to do with with an Amazon return. I'm a Prime member and Amazon actually had a charge to return the item at a UPS store, which is right around the corner from me and the nearest Kohl's is almost 20 miles away. I went to Kohl's and they gave me a 25% off coupon. I looked around, but I really don't like to shop there.

I didn't know about this! If you don't have a box handy, it seems like a nice option, so you don't have to buy one.

It's new to me -- the return to Kohl's was free, but it was $8something to return it to UPS. Very annoying! I hope it isn't going to be this way from now on.

I'm a Prime member and I have to pay to return items to Amazon through UPS. The only time it's free is if there is something wrong with the item or it wasn't as described - or it's an item advertised as having free returns (like clothing).

I'll try Kohl's for my next return.

Kohls is taking Amazon returns as a way to get traffic in the stores. Their sales are down.

Kohls gives me the creeps. I’ve only been in there a few times but I felt like I wanted to turn around and run out.

Ive never had to pay for a Prime return. I hope that policy hasn’t changed.

I like getting the extra ten percent t off at Whole Goods. Yesterday I bought a scarf there . It was already 40 percent off, plus I got another ten percent because it was on sale. I only paid $17 for a scarf that started at $34. I also got a free reusable shopping bag since I’m a prime member. Woo hoo.

When you order from Amazon you need to pay attention to whether or not the item you are purchasing has free return shipping. Many things on Amazon are not sold directly by Amazon, but through third parties, which have their own return policies - regardless of whether you are a Prime member or not.

I don’t know for sure, but the Zappos returns page doesn’t offer a Kohl’s return, so I would guess you can’t do so right now.

I just returned something to Amazon via Kohl's the other day. It was so easy - I just gave the clerk my item, they scanned the barcode on my phone (or you could print a return slip to scan), and then they gave me a receipt. Attached to the receipt was a 25% off coupon for your next purchase. I don’t shop there so didn’t need the coupon. I am closer to Kohl's than a UPS drop off, so it worked out great for me. - I might have felt differently if there was a long line to wait in. Fortunately I walked in right as they opened so didn’t have to wait.

I wouldn’t assume that kohl’s would take Zappos returns because Amazon bought Zappos. (They did? News to me.). I would think that Zappos is still operating as a separate company and does not have a special arrangement with kohl’s. Unless kohl’s advertises that, of course.

My assumption came because I had the option to log in from my Amazon account when paying for my Zappos purchase.

The kohl’s here is set up like Target, bright lights and signs overhead. There are shopping carts and they only sell their own brands as far as I can see. I could be wrong about that. Our department stores aren’t like that. I’m thinking of Bloomingdales, Lord & Taylor and such.

The only kohl’s around here is a bit of a drive. Maybe I’m just not used to shopping over there and it felt uncomfortable. I don’t know.

I do like Target for some things but not clothes.

I’ve never bought anything from Zappos that didn’t offer return shipping at no additional charge. I have ordered many times from Amazon and return shipping is not included at no charge unless item is defective.

Zappos operates pretty independently from Amazon so I wouldn’t assume you can return Zappos items at Kohls.

I’ve started buying more from places other than Amazon who have a local bricks and mortar store so I can return without paying for shipping. I guess Amazon now has an answer for that.

I shop at Kohl's. They sell many brands that are not their own such as Lee and Levi's. We do not have many options around here, so I will stop by to check things out. As with any store you just have to pick and choose the kinds of things you are looking for. Socks, kids pj's, turtlenecks, etc. are some of my favorites. Our store is very clean and organized.

Did Zappos stop their free returns?

I have been a prime member for 8 years and for the past 2 years, Amazon has required all my returns to be UPS drop off. With the pandemic and quarantine, this has been quite the inconvenience and I have lost more than a bit of money over it and I am not happy. I wish more people would voice their opinions to Amazon about how they feel so they can change it back to the USPS returns. I miss the days of repackaging the return, sticking the label on the box/envelope, and handing it to the postman or dropping it in the mailbox on my terms. That was the best thing about Amazon! With COVID, the UPS stores have inconvenient hours, not enough people working, people in line who are sick and I can’t be around them or the people who do work there are vaping and that junk makes me sick. Kohl’s is too far away for me too. I spend too much money at Amazon for this inconvenience for returns. I need to shop elsewhere. The COVID thing really was the last straw. What online company forces customers to go out to make returns during the pandemic when we were required to be on lockdown? (I am mostly referring to 2020) Although even now, some of us are still limiting our public contact. Whenever I speak with an Amazon rep about it, it is always someone who does not speak English and they do not understand my frustrations. They repeatedly read from their script and it frustrates me.

When I make a return Amazon wants me to return either at Kohl’s or Whole Foods. Sometimes I get a choice, but sometimes I don’t. I actually prefer Kohl’s as it is closer to my house and the parking as much better than the Whole Foods parking lot. They do usually give a 25% off coupon, I will use it occasionally as they carry a bra I like or will give the coupon to a friend that loves Kohl’s.
