Hello! The color is so subjective for a few reasons that I can't give you a really definitive answer. The rug is a mix of colors in polyester which is kind of shiny, so the color changes depending on the viewing angle, and different tones & colors can be brought out by different lighting situations as well. It can also look a little different on your monitor versus mine, as on mine I don't see any brown at all, it just looks gray. It's one of those rugs you will need to put in your room to see how it looks. If it would need to be returned, you would let us know within 30 days. You pay the return shipping, but we refund the rug purchase price once the rug processes back into the return warehouse in acceptable condition. I hope this information helps!
