I have a couple of them and saw a rat the other day. Hopefully, they will take care of it.

Neat. I usually see snakes but havent seen any this season yet. There are zillions of baby lizards all of a sudden and lots of tadpoles in my fountain and waterlily & lotus pots. The rains are late here this year and so are the babies, it seems.

Sultry, I absolutely love the baby lizards. Seeing them scuttle about is so wonderful.

Nice! all I've seen at this house are garter snakes on the ground.

nickel_kg - I used to have a garter snake who lived here for three years, from a baby about 8 inches long to a big boy about 5 feet long. I don't know what happened to Henry. Hopefully, he just found happier hunting grounds and a mate. When he was little, he liked hanging out in my potted plants, and he'd scare the beejeezus out of me when I went to work on them, but he was never aggressive.

A five-foot garter snake? I would love to see that!
