Please provide advise wrong grout color was used on new flooring

The company I contracted with used the wrong grout on the new flooring. The used Frost which is basically strake white. The were supposed to use light almond. I have included a picture of the grout they used next to the floor. Obviously we do not want white grout for the almost 2k square feet covering most of the downstairs including the walkways and kitchen. This was all new flooring installed less than a week ago. The color to be used is in the contract and the floors looked great until they added the wrong grout color. Do I push to pull and replace the flooring or is there another solutioN? Based on the bag it appears this grout has some type of blocker built in so I do not think trying to color will work. Any help is appreciated because this was a huge expense and we want it done right. Thanks.

The photo shows now. If they used a different color than was specified in the contract then that’s their mistake. Perhaps someone here can suggest a solution that doesn’t involved pulling up the tile.

Did they do any test samples for you? Were you on site when they started the grout work so you could see the color ?

I’m no pro but we recently redid a bathroom, total gut job, and the tile guy had me look at the grout as he started, just to make sure it looked as I expected.

The grout looked different when seen against my tile compared to the sample, partly because of 5he specific lighting in the bathroom. As he started to grout, we realized that the colr wasn’t an ideal choice ( athough close) and he tweaked the color a bit.

Unfortunately I was traveling. However, we are not talking about a shade off we are talking about white versus Navajo (which is almost dark brown). I have no doubt they no the screwed up. I do not want to accept a half butt solution because they charged us a premium and we should get what we paid for. If any professionals out there are familiar with the product above I would love to hear you remedy (even if it is pull the tile). Thanks in advance.

Just use an epoxy grout colorant. Easy solution.

So even though the grout states it has a built in blocker you think it will absorb the grout colorant? Should it then be sealed? Also the grout line is just 1/8 how would they prevent the colorant from bleeding over onto the tile?

I once painted the grout in a small bathroom. It was tedious, but I wanted the grout a shade darker. It has not faded or stained, and still looks nice a few years later in a high-use bathroom. But....I was on my hands and knees with a tiny little paintbrush, doing a careful job (with a paper towel to wipe up any that got on the tile). It came out nicely, but I cannot imagine doing a bigger room, or more, like that. GreenDesigns, is there a way to do it to a whole floor without painting it on like I did?

Thank you for the comment. The main issue is we are talking about 2k square feet and not the biggest of grout lines.
