Personally I am very matchy-matchy. But, in this case because of your color scheme and the other copper accents, I think a copper faucet would look fabulous!

Your knobs and handles appear gold-toned in the photo. I would not mix copper and gold, so if you want a copper faucet, I would change the knobs and handles to black or maybe pewter.

While I tend to match finishes, (and that is not trending), I say, if you love it, use it. After all, your home is primarily for you and your family.

Copper is a beautiful choice!! And you will smile every time you look at the copper faucet. Will another choice make you smile every time?

JAN MOYER: The lights have a tiny bit of stainless in them... definitely no ORB. All metal is covered by an amber toned crystal; there isn't an obvious metal color there.

However, I realize that crystal adds another dimension and is also a "finish" in a way. I COULD technically change those lampshades to a copper tone of some sort, but that might be too much as well.

I do understand that our SS appliances are a finish. I just dislike silver toned metals (working toward black SS appliances overtime), so didn't want to get more silver toned stuff in the way of hardware AND faucet.

I didn't think there's anything wrong with having two or three metal finishes in a kitchen, so I didn't see a need to stick with silver metals just because there are SS appliances.

Oh, and the lights are staying...but lampshades on those chandeliers can be changed. I love crystal in my space, the more the better. Sort of like copper... lol

I also like gleaming copper! Looking at Casa Decor - the huge number of handles if quite contrasting would amount to alot of look. For yours [and you do have cool tones] I picture the subtlest finish, probably nickel...

But as to a pretty pewter, darker and would grab a bit more attention - imo, it'd be better if you reduced visuals: red runner, and probably red vase, sorry but trying to help... does it though... ;-)

What is the sink? White, stainless, something else.

I would stay with a silver finish for the faucet because I think silver works best with the black counters.

Then get a copper colored Kitchen Aid.

As you probably have seen, copper or brass can be an accent in a central way, like lanterns. To me, that warmth is the same as look of stove hood, shades/ rush seats and wood floor. Spread around the room, so good.

I love that copper faucet. To me, if it makes you happy (!) then it's worth having and it will work simply because you love it.

Question for pros: I too adore copper and wonder if it has to be polished to avoid tarnishing. I'd love a copper light fixture but don't know (and really do not want to get into polishing)..

Well this looks fab to me, and if your handles are ok... go with glam. You have amber crystals which would go. Keep the copper less a focus, sorry. :(

God I hope copper isn't out - not that I give a rat's patootie because I think it's beautiful.

I just remodeled and my kitchen has a large copper farmhouse sink from Havens Metal; a domed copper tile ceiling; custom copper hood vent; a copper medallion with inspired by an Art Nouveau crane sculpture I have; copper accent tiles and antique copper pulls that are Prairie/Frank Lloyd Wright inspired. And the granite is Black Galaxy which has copper flecks for some additional bling LOL.

That said I wouldn't go with a shiny copper faucet because I wouldn't want to have to keep it shiny. For my faucet I opted for the Kohler Artifact faucet in oil rubbed bronze which has some copper highlights. My kitchen sink has a living patina so that it can be shiny if something acidic hits it and then gradually dulls down again but in a very haphazard manner - I don't think I would be happy with that kind of living patina on a faucet although I love it for my sink.

Probably been posted that you already have "lots of look" with fancy chandeliers, spice/red rug under contrasting chairs, etc....but if you removed some things you might do well with simple lines of copper. Maybe copper/metal plates gleaming in the cupboards, etc....

About the black elements of shelves and strong black lines in chairs .... if you bought new lighting copper etc...those lines-contemporary look could complement either copper, or more red.
