Nicely done Rita. I have a whole whack of KF fat quarters , this would surely use them up.

Thanks to all for the kind comments. Karen, I had some pretty good yardage left of both the pink and orange fabrics that you see in the piano key border, also the periwinkle blue with the pinky-orange vines going through it. So I pieced the back with the pink on one side, the orange on the other and a smaller strip of the periwinkle in the center. The background fabric that I used for the alternate blocks was some mega yardage I had bought off of the red tag section at Joann's years ago and for some reason it called out to me for this. It's also the one that I stupidly nicked cutting loose threads just as I was trying to finish the binding. I finally decided to do a ladder stitch to close it up - I'm the only one that is ever going to know it's so small. Theresa, I don't know what a whack of fat quarters is but I wish I had one! This is the third quilt I've done with the Kaffe Fassett fabric squares, don't know what I'd do if I had fat quarters! But I have seen quilts done with it that were a little over the top for my taste. I love his wonderful colors and designs but if the whole quilt is plastered with nothing but my eyes don't know where to rest.

I love being able to prove 'less is more' which, unknowing to the non-quilter, showcases the fabric and is very eye-appealing! Great choice, Rita!

It's beautiful. The design lets the fabric shine. It makes me smile.

Pls show us the back, I always want to see, esp. if it's anything more than solid color. Your interesting description made me want to see it even more ;>)
