Help Design our Entry room
We bought a country house and I have a dilemma on how to do decor for one of the rooms. I’m calling it and entry room since it has both the front and the back door.
This is the first room you enter before getting to the main dining, living and kitchen area. It has a heating stove so I’m thinking maybe a couch and arm chairs for it to be a second living room during winter.
We tried removing the wooden plank on the wall but couldn’t, it will stay for now. The wardrobe at the corner will be a functional mudroom. Here are some pictures, don’t mind the boxes around,we just moved a few days ago,still unpacking.

7 years agoLove the idea as a second living room. For the wood slab, it would be a great place to put hooks, to hang things like coats and backpacks. Here are some things you can consider for an entryway. The light would be great to put over the console table. The bench would be a handy place to sit down and put on your shoes.

The rug is for near the door, the console table is to replace the cabinet in the picture, the artwork would look great above the console table

The rug should go in the center of the room. The table should be in the middle of the rug. Flowers on top of table. The light can hang over the table.
