"Orange Smith" -- A "Found" China Rose

My "Orange Smith" is very like 'Archduke Charles' -- only it has fewer petals than A.C. usually does.


Anyhow, it's been doing a lot of nice blooming lately, and I particularly like this photo, which really shows off the lovely "fade-to-dark" characteristic that it shares with 'Archduke Charles' and some other China Roses.

    That's another thing, Plumeria Girl -- You don't see it so much in Old Blush, but you do in some other (probably related) Chinas.

    And -- You know where you see that characteristic? Think of 'Mutabilis.' But, in a modern rose, think of 'Joseph's Coat'.!!!
