Forsythia stems/leaves not same color as others

This forsythia is new this spring. It received very adequate moisture while establishing, but not as much recently. We did have a good rain two nights ago, the first in a while. There is a main branch that does not have the deep green color of the other branches on both the host plant and on other healthy plants of the same cultivar/varietal. I don't see bugs, and I don't see damage on the branch. I've done a search for forsythia problems which hasn't given me any clues. Using "forsythia" and "yellowing leaves" in the same search does nothing but pull up site after site about normal blooming! Any ideas if this situation is actually a problem?
